Fime, based in Paris, has acquired Red Alert Labs. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds cybersecurity evaluation, certification and compliance automation to its work in payments, mobility and digital identity.
Red Alert Labs brings accredited security evaluation expertise and CyberPass, its compliance automation platform.
CyberPass helps manufacturers track and improve compliance readiness, and helps certification schemes manage assessments.
The deal follows tighter EU cybersecurity rules. Reporting obligations under the Cyber Resilience Act took effect on 11 September 2026, with the law’s broader requirements following from 11 December 2027.
From that point, manufacturers must show cybersecurity compliance on an ongoing basis, not just at launch.
Digital identity, connected devices and payment infrastructure increasingly share similar compliance needs, including security, interoperability and long-term reliability.
Fime’s testing and certification base now combines with Red Alert Labs’ accreditation, giving customers one provider for both.
The company will support customers from security design through testing, evaluation, certification and ongoing assurance.
This extends an approach already used in payments and digital identity into cybersecurity.
Lionel Grosclaude
said Lionel Grosclaude, Chief Executive of Fime.
Roland Atoui
said Roland Atoui, Founder and Managing Director of Red Alert Labs.
Red Alert Labs will keep operating as an accredited, independent cybersecurity laboratory.
Atoui will continue to lead the company, with an expanded role covering Fime’s cybersecurity activities worldwide.
