The retired midfielder of Ivory Coast spent almost a decade in the English top flight after he arrived at Manchester City in 2010 from Barcelona for a reported fee of £ 24 million.
Toure became one of the most important players in the Etihad Stadium after he helped City to win three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two competition cups.
During eight seasons, Toure 79 goals scored goals in 318 games at all competitions under the management of bosses Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola.
Toure left the city on a free transfer in the summer of 2018 and later moved to the Greek side Olympiacos, before a final move to the Chinese side Qingdao led the following year that he finally decided to leave the now dissolved club in the beginning of 2020 and hang his boots.
Among many fans and commentators, Toure would be among the candidates when it comes to compiling a list of the best midfielders to adorn the Premier League.
Toure was voted as City’s player of the season in the 2013/14 campaign after he had delivered 24 goals in all competitions, and was also mentioned twice in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
