We were right when it came to the age assessment of Severance season 2 episode 4. The Apple TV+ series has just received its first spicy scene, but thanks to a bad turn, an act of love is initially transformed into something sinister (and very illegal).
Episode 4 was undoubtedly the most expected to date, and it certainly met expectations. Mark, Irving, Helly (or Helena) and Dylan are on their way to the very first Ortbo (preventing a retreat and team building).
This means that the innovations go out, but their real world tour is of course strictly controlled by Lumon. Mr. Milkshake tells them the path they have to follow, and walks in the footsteps of their great leader, ajar Eagan, before they collect them around a campfire for good propaganda.
However, because it is a two -day journey, the innoves can enjoy some time alone, from which Mark and Helly fully benefit from sharing a kiss in season 1. Warning: spoilers forward and some may find this content disturbing.
Mark & Helly’s scene in Severance season 2 episode 4 is not what you think
Mark and Helly have sex! It seems like a wonderful moment, but this is the severance payment we are talking about. At the end of season 2 episode 4 we find out that Helly is not Helly at all: she has been Helena Eagan all the time.

Since there is no way in which Mark would not have willingly slept with the daughter of the CEO of Lumon – let alone someone he doesn’t really know – this revelation means that he was cheated in an action that he would never have agreed. In the eyes of the law this comes down to rape.
This of course opens a completely different series of questions. How will this be tackled in particular in episode 5? Plus, Why Did Helena do this?
If you still remember episode 2, Helena continued to view the security camera images of Mark and Helly Kissen. This is not explained, although it is theoretized that she might be jealous of her Innie.
Ultimately, Helena cannot fraternize with ordinary people. Her life includes following the rules and perhaps she wants to experience what her Innie achieves.
Or maybe she really has feelings for Mark (if this is true, then she has chosen the worst way to tackle it).
On the other hand, knowing Lumon, this could just be a way to take revenge on Helly because he tries to kill himself (and therefore her) in season 1. Last but not least, she might want to get Mark on the right track To finish Cold Harbor.
Some fans believe that her reason is double. As said by one: ‘Helena has two missions. To make Mark’s content enough to finish Cold Harbor, and a personal one to get affection from him. She wants to be wanted. She is too sheltered to get the IRL, but her Innie has already confused a man in weeks. ‘
Anyway, the result is dark as hell and therefore classic severance payment.
