Lara Trump about food, health and America’s children: ‘We want the truth’

Lara Trump, daughter -in -law of President Donald Trump and mother of two, will organize a new program on Fox News Channel called “My View with Lara Trump” on Saturday evening, was announced on Wednesday.

Trump, 42, is married to Eric Trump and is a former co-chairman of the Republican National Committee. She has also been pronounced about the need for improved health in America.

In an interview on the camera a few days ago with Fox News Digital, she said that “as many parents are today” in terms of being worried about the health and well -being of her young children. (See the video at the top of this article.)

“When you go to the supermarket or when you prepare food for your children, you really wonder, what is it that you feed them? And you hear so much about the fact that we do not have the same standards in the United States as other countries. ”

She added: “You wonder, why is that? And am I doing best for my children?”

Trump said she believes that this is a “big aspect” of why so many people in this country Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Support as HHS Secretary in the Trump government.

“I think people want transparency. We want the truth. We want honesty,” she said.

“You always want the future generation to live longer and have a better life than you.”

“And we want to know that the food we give our children will actually make them healthier and will not make them sicker.”

Trump said she feels that as “an American, it is very worrying when you think about the fact that we are the richest country in the world. We have the most means within reach.”

And “for some reason,” she went on, “our population keeps getting sicker and people are starting to die sooner. That is also very worrying.”

She continued: “You always want the future generation to live longer and have a better life than you. And it is a bit concerned many mothers, including myself, that it now hardly feels like we can say that.”

Trump emphasized that America’s parents want their children to learn to make “healthy choices” for themselves.

“I think people want transparency. We want the truth. We want honesty.”

“We all do the best we can,” she said – “Especially when Dad comes and takes the children for ice cream, you know, in the middle of the afternoon, just before dinner,” she added playfully.

The sedentary lifestyle, she said, “lends itself to sick on the road.”

Trump added that she wants her children to appreciate [the idea of] move their body. “

“They are both in a certain number of sports,” she noticed.

“They both like to be outside. And that is something that I am lucky, I can prioritize life in Florida – that my children constantly move.”

Set a healthy example

Lara Trump shared that practice is an important part of her daily routine. “I try to make sure that I set a good example as a mother,” she said.

“I try to expose my children as much as possible and hope they pick it up, and that one day they will choose for themselves when they have the opportunity to decide what they want to do.”

From her children, who are now 7 and 5, Trump said: “They now enjoy all their sports. Jujitsu, basketball, football, gymnastics. They have a great time.”

For parents, she said, the goal should be to “determine the habits now – and you hope they will continue for a lifetime.”

Born and raised in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, Trump shared a memory of how her own parents, “who are both still very healthy and active”, gave a strong example.

“When I was younger, my father would say before dinner: ‘Okay, we have a choice. You can do pull-ups, you can do push-ups, or you can climb the rope, what three stories went to the Top of our house and back down, probably to the horror of my neighbors, “she added.

“That’s how I grew up,” she told Fox News Digital. “It has clearly led to me continuing to lead an active lifestyle all my life – and it gives me a good feeling. It keeps me healthy and hopefully will keep me out for as long as possible.”

As for the urge of RFK Jr. After healthier food in America, Lara Trump called some of the unhealthy additives in today’s food.

“There are things like high-fructose corn syrup, plus the seed oils that are often spoken about … in terms of their unhealthiness for us.”

“I really hope that we have a certain degree of transparency in this administration, and I think we will do that.”

Trump said about her growing experiences in North Carolina: “It is a small town. And that is why I really think I should be a child for much longer than maybe other people. And I now think a lot about my own children.”

“I have continued to lead an active lifestyle all my life – and it gives me a good feeling.”

She said: “Whether it is the iPads, the devices, whatever it is – our children are now really exposed to now, more than I think we have ever seen in the history of this country. And they grow that way Fast.

Trump said she wants to give her children “the experience of their youth, the innocence, the ability to worry about anything.”

“You only get that if you are a child, and you only get it once,” she said.

“And I am grateful that I grew up with that experience.”
