Fans have jokes that Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk showed the ultimate lack of respect to a Tottenham star during the Carabao Cup semi-final collision between the two sides.
Spurs went in the second stage in Anfield with a 1-0 advantage after Lucas Bergvall’s late goal in the first stage.
They defended stoically during the first half hour of the second stage, with a new loan Kevin Danso signed that played his role on his Spurs debut.
Dominic Szoboszlai briefly thought he had leveled the draw in front of Arne Slot, but the flag was raised for offside to exclude his goal.
But Cody Gakpo placed Liverpool 34 minutes ahead with a composite finish in the left under corner.
Earlier in the procedure, fans saw something Van Dijk did after Spurs Forward Richarlison won an error for his side in their own half.
The Brazilian, who was on the peat, looked up at Van Dijk briefly before he saw that the Dutchman offered his hand to help him.
Richarlison took the opportunity, but Van Dijk pulled his hand away on the last second and ran away in the other direction, leaving the Spurs something confusing.
