West Lafayette, Ind. – After a national search, Purdue Professor of Toxicology Aaron Bowman was appointed dean of Purdue’s College of Health and Human Sciences, from Monday (February 10).

Bowman obtained his PhD in biomedical sciences at the University of California, San Diego, after graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology at Brigham Young University. He completed Postdoctoral Fellowships at both Princeton University and Baylor College of Medicine.

He started his academic career in 2006 as a university lecturer at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the Neurology and Pediatrics departments, where he earned a term and held various positions, including director of the T32 training program of Vanderbilt in Environmentalxicology.
